Owner Douglas Strout has worked as a licensed life and health insurance agent since 1991, bringing more than three decades of experience to every client conversation. After graduating from Bates College with a degree in Biology, he and his brother packed their backpacks and spent three years traveling through New Zealand, Australia, and Southeast Asia. When he returned home, Doug tried his hand at a few different jobs before finding his way into insurance, turning it into a profession he’s enjoyed for more than three decades.

Outside his professional endeavors, Doug is a devoted family man residing in Cape Elizabeth with his wife and two daughters. He regularly explores Maine’s natural beauty with camping, hiking, fishing and canoe adventures. Doug is also a disc golf pro (MP60), a sport he picked up following years competing in Portland's Ultimate scene.
